Why Choose Polyurethane Foam For Seawall Repair?
The first and foremost thing to be addressed is, why is seawall damage caused? And what will happen if it’s not treated on time. Seawall becomes weaker and reduces its capacity to hold seawater (any form of water such as lakes, rivers or even ocean) after developing cracks by continuous exposure to water for a long time. If left untreated, the water keeps getting inside the cracks completely, this is highly detrimental to any structure supported by the Seawall or is in proximity to it.
Seawall Repair Options
You could fill voids with dirt and aggregate or a cementitious fill. But this won’t remove the reason there is erosion or settlement in the first place.
You could replace some or all of the wall. That is a major construction project that is highly disruptive to the property owner and possibly to the environment.
